Reasons you may need to consider a custom bridal accessory: You have been searching for the perfect bridal accessory to accompany your wedding dress that encompasses your personal style, but you can not find it anywhere. You have a family wedding piece that you would like to deconstruct and incorporate into a new family heirloom piece. You have not found the perfect color tulle or lace to match your wedding dress. You love the idea of collaborating with Alyssa, our designer, to bring your wedding accessory vision to life. Or if you just prefer to have an exclusive piece created specifically for you! Getting Started
We begin the custom design process by discussing your wedding day style, and the type of piece you desire. You are welcome to send along any images or details that may be helpful to reference during the design process. Any imagery that communicates your wedding day design is helpful. Pictures of your wedding dress. Pictures of your hairstyle. Color palette inspiration. Pictures of other wedding details. We will ask you questions regarding the types of materials that you like and/or dislike. If you would like to keep a classic white or ivory color palette, or If you prefer to infuse color. You can even send us a swatch of your dress fabric and color if you would like to get a perfect match!
Each custom design is subject to a design fee and deposit before the design process begins. Because pieces can range in price and difficulty, the design fee and deposit will be determined upon the type of piece you inquire about. We can work within a budget, if provided by the bride. Or we can quote a price range for the type of item you are inquiring about. Custom designs begin at $300.
DESIGN PROCESS
Once the design fee and deposit are accepted, Alyssa will begin the design process. She will provide sketches and communicate materials that are recommended for your custom piece. She will also provide any imagery and detailed information that will help you envision what your piece will look like in real form. You will collaborate directly with Alyssa regarding the shape, materials, color, and other design elements. If mock-ups are needed to communicate the design, Alyssa will also create those and send detailed photos for your approval. Throughout the design process you will have the opportunity to comment about the elements that you like or the elements that you would like to revise.
CREATION
Once the silhouette, materials, and color are approved by the bride, Alyssa will begin the process of making your custom piece. You will receive updates on the progress of your piece, along with any photos of the piece as it begins to take its final form. We will ensure that you love the piece that you see coming to life.
Production lead times are typically 6-8 weeks, but we will confirm the estimated timeframe with you prior to beginning your piece. If a rush order is needed and there is availability in our production calendar, we may have the ability to create your custom piece more quickly. A rush fee will be required to speed up the process.
FINAL APPROVAL
Once Alyssa has completed the custom piece, we will send along detailed photos so that you can provide your final approval. It is important to us that you are as excited to wear your custom piece as you are about your wedding gown.
Once we have your final approval, the final balance on your custom design will be due. Your piece will then be wrapped up with the upmost care in our beautiful packaging. Headpieces and other hair adornments will be accompanied with a keepsake duster bag and a sturdy keepsake box to ensure safe keeping for years to come. --More packaging details here.
