We know that many people would like to help out our medical professionals during the Covid-19 pandemic. We have worked extensively alongside our friends and family in the medical field to create a pattern for face masks. Alice + Mae will be sewing these face masks in our free time. If you would like to join in, we have our pattern available to download and print.
We are also working on obtaining bulk materials to send out face mask sewing kits to anyone who would like help us create face masks. We have found a great fabric from CanvasEtc.com that is made specifically for filtration masks that we are excited to use. Feel free to read more about the fabric over on their website!
To get a kit shipped to you, you will only need to pay for USPS Priority Mail Shipping (USA Only) and we will send you a free kit that includes the fabric, elastic, and wire you will need to make some of these masks yourself. Or you can stop by our Nashville studio and pick up a kit from our front porch. Once we have the materials in stock, we will create a webpage to pay the shipping cost for the kits. Until then, you can download the pattern and start sewing face masks using scraps (tightly woven cotton) if you have them at home. If you don’t sew, but know someone who does, feel free to share this with them!
